IPI Introductory Report

February 2025

Catalonia suffers from low productivity due to structural and technological factors, despite its strong industrial and scientific base. The production model remains stuck in low value-added sectors with limited digitalisation. The IPI, launched by the Cercle d’Economia, was created to transform this model. Acting as both a think tank and an action tank, it promotes analysis, proposals and partnerships to position Catalonia among Europe’s leaders in innovation by 2030. Knowledge and collaboration for building the future.
